Sony Takes Dev Off Warrior's Lair

Sony confirmed Idol Minds will no longer develop Warrior's Lair, the game formerly known as Ruin.

The company told GamesIndustry International the project is now being moved completely in-house to its San Diego studio. Sony did not provide a reason for the change.

Warrior's Lair was renamed earlier this year. This Diablo-style action game let's you play on both Vita and PlayStation 3. For more on Warrior's Lair, check out our latest preview of the game.

  • I don't really remember anything about this game.
  • hopefully thiis still comes out on date
  • Weird, very weird indeed.

  • well.  hopefully they can bring something new to it.

  • Hey Jim, In your first sentence I think you mean "formerly", not "formally". Sound the same but different meanings. I don't mean to break your balls. Common mistake.
  • Ruin sounds better.
  • Is the project to ambitious?

  • Idol Minds may be going through some bad times, or Sony saw no porgress and said "We will take it from here"

  • It seems like Sony it's having a little problem with developers these days.

  • I honestly think this game will be cancelled

  • Maybe.......

  • This one is looking to be good! Sure, it draws a lot from Diablo, but that isn't really a bad thing.

  • Cool, I guess?

  • that was by far the stupidest name change ever..... Ruin was interesting sounding and Warriors Lair sounds like a NES flop from back in the day

  • Dont know if i should take this as bad news or good ones, San Diego does some great work so thats good, so hopefully it will turn out as great as i hope it can be! Been waiting for this game since they first showed it! Cant wait to trick out my Lair!

  • Hmm not sure why they would do this. As long as this game gets released soon and is as good as what was shown prior, I'll be happy. This is one of the reasons I wan to purchase a Vita. I'm a big fan of Diablo-style games.
  • Considering that dev was best known for Pain, I am not surprised by this at all.

  • These are also the people working on the Ratchet and Clank HD collection, No?  then it was probably a "You need to finish this first!" thing and not a "You suck as a developer!" thing.

  • the reason is that the other team sucked so sony took em out..if a tree doesnt bear fruits, it must be cut down and made wood fire with...
