The lights are on
Shortly after the Vita's release we wrote this story, this story, and this story, about how sales were disappointing for Sony's new handheld. With Persona 4 The Golden's Japanese release, however, the Vita's weekly sales have doubled.
Persona 4 The Golden was the best selling game across all consoles between June 11 and 17 at 137,076 units sold. It helped the Vita quite a bit, but the handheld is still trailing behind the Nintendo 3DS, which sold nearly twice as many systems during the same period of time.

Glad the game is doing well over there. I can't wait to play it myself.
I would expect US sales to follow the same trend when ACIII Liberation and Black Ops Declassified come out.
Just wait til they release a Monster Hunter for this. That will make them fly off the shelves in Japan.
I'm really looking forward to getting P4 myself come October.
I highly recommend Gravity Rush to anyone looking for an awesome game for their Vita right now.
Great news for them
Hey think of that. Make games people want to play exclusively and uniquely on a system and people will want to buy the system.
So make a Ratchet Clank and Jak I will be purchasing one faster. All the awesome 3D games can be played better with a second stick, take Full advantage of it!
One of my favorite RPGs on the PS2. Can't wait for the US release!
This comes as no surprise to me, because I'm buying a Vita soon just because of this game. I've spent close to 200 hundred hours in that game on PS2, but now I can finally 100% complete it. With more stuff!
This is the only reason why I would buy a Vita Just for Persona 4 Golden : D
