Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies

New Screenshots And Gameplay From San Diego Comic-Con

Later this fall, 3DS owners in North America will once again be investigating crime scenes and questioning witnesses. Straight from San Diego Comic-Con, we have two new trailers and a batch of new screenshots for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies.

The videos below are taken straight from the build that Comic-Con attendees will have access to. One shows mysterious (and recently incarcerated) Prosecutor Blackquill. The other is an investigation scene covered in blood.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies is rated M, which is a surprise for Capcom's long-running series. You'll be able to find out for yourself why that is when the title is released later this fall.

  • I think the M rating might hurt it sales wise.
  • I never expected Ace Attorney to have a M rating. I've never played the games, but it's still sort a surprise to me.

  • Holy crap this game is rated M?

  • OHH YEAHH!! This game actually convinced me to keep my 3DS.
  • 1: This games art in 3D is stunning

2: Why can't they release that Luigi XL in the US so I can replace my 3DS?

3: That M rating is so very intriguing.

  • I love the new 3D. the courtroom scenes look great, and the investigation scenes really benefit. having control over the camera should add depth to those parts of the game. Still, I still don't know how I feel about Apollo. He was ok in AA4, but he lacked a certain charm Phoenix had. I hope this isn't just Phoenix in a case or two, and Apollo for the rest.
  • Does this mean they'll actually drink wine instead of juice in a wineglass?

I'd be happy with that sort of useless censorship being removed from the series.

  • Klavirs back! wooot.

Good to see the humour and body movements have worked well in the crossover from 2d to 3d modules.

  • It's interesting as to how this game is rated M. I like the series, so I will pick it up either way, but out of all the games that could transition to rated M, this one seems a little too cartoony.

I guess this could be why they didn't want to make physical copies in the states and Europe. That being said, I don't like how easy it is to get a digital game that is rated M. It's as easy as entering your "correct" birthday, getting a card for the game, and downloading it.

  • Rated M!!! That got my attention, lol. It's only one rating above the previous games' ratings, Teen, but still. A little darker Ace Attorney could work, as long as it doesn't effect it's more lighthearted charm too much. This just got me a little more interested in AA5 :D

  • Gotta check this series out. . .

  • Rated M? Now I'm excited. Also, I'm still waiting for Investigations 2, Capcom.

  • I think the M rating might hurt it sales wise.

  • Cant wait to yet again play as Mr Phoenix
