Much as I love Isaac Clarke, more and more I find myself drawn to his new companion in the trenches of Necromorph horror, Jonathan Carver. I think a lot of it comes from being able to so easily identify with the man; I've lost a wife and child, so I know what that can do to you--can drive you to do out of pain and guilt and a desire for some kind of redemption. For all the complaints I see about the addition of co-op in the series, I'm grateful for it, because now the game I love most has not one, but two characters so well written and conveyed that few others in fiction can call themselves their equals. on 18 Mar 2013 3:38 PM

Game Stuff

Your Game Systems (Past & Present):Pretty much any system made from '85 on.
Favorite Game Genres:RPG's, anything with a solid Science Fiction backdrop, and shm'ups... and puzzles. Love me some puzzles.
Favorite Games:Vagrant Story, Dead Space 1&2, Halo (pick one), Metal Gear (again, pick one), and Zone of the Enders. I'm sure there are more, but I'm old and have crap for memory.

Favorite Music:No real genre to define as my favorite, but I lean towards ambient music and soundtracks these days.
Favorite Movies:Can't say as I have a favorite, but ones that stand out in my mind are Event Horizon, Aliens, The Fountain, The Secret of NIMH, Inception, Remains of the Day, Imposter, Blade Runner, Platoon, Troy, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, Ghost in the Shell 1&2, Sky Crawlers, Jin-Roh, and 13 Assassins. I'm sure there are more, but again - I'm old.
Favorite TV:Adventure Time. Looooooove me some Adventure Time.
Favorite Books:Baltimore, Joe Golem and the Drowned City, Leviathan Wakes, Caliban's War, The Starfishers Trilogy, An Empire Unaquainted with Defeat, Dune (the stuff Frank Herbert actually wrote), David Copperfield... the list goes on.
