I was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Trinity county California. I love the outdoors but fell in love with video games when I went to kindergarten and played Aztec on an old Apple II E. The next "system" I had was a Tandy Color Computer III that played game cartridges. After that I got a NES for christmas and since then have owned nearly every major game system available.
I prefer to play games offline and tend towards titles with strong stories and characters. I used to prefer Japanese titles when I was younger, but have distanced myself from them in recent years because the characters never evolve or age. The older I get the less I can tolerate an avatar who looks fifteen and can't talk to women without getting a nosebleed.
Games have the capability to tell fantastic immersive stories. Not to say every game has to be story driven for me to enjoy it, but I hate it when a good concept is ruined by a lackluster finale.
